The Orchard Fostering Team
The team in Orchard Fostering has extensive experience working with vulnerable children and foster families. We recognise the need for a holistic and therapeutic foster service, where our foster carers receive a supportive framework in order to welcome vulnerable children into their homes and grow positively, enjoying the fostering experience.
Jenny joined Orchard Fostering in 2017 as Principal Social Worker. In 2019 Jenny moved into the role of Director of Operations and has since become the Managing Director of the service. Jenny obtained her master’s degree in social work in 2009. Jenny has also worked as a counsellor since 2013 and qualified as a psychotherapist in 2016. Jenny has extensive experience in foster care and is a member of the TUSLA Foster Care Committee in Dublin North City, this committee oversees all issues related to foster carers.
Principal Social Worker of Support and Referral Services
Aoife joined Orchard Fostering in 2014 as a link worker and has held a number of social work positions since then. Since 2019 Aoife has been leading the clinical team as the principal social worker of Orchard Fostering. Aoife established Orchard’s formal quality function in 2018 to ensure the best outcomes for children and their carers. Aoife obtained her master’s degree in social work from NUIG in 2009 and prior to joining Orchard fostering Aoife worked primarily for the then HSE (now Tusla- Child and Family Agency) in Child Protection and with Children in Care teams.
Principal Social Worker of Assessment, Marketing and Training Services
Orlaith joined Orchard Fostering in 2019 and was promoted from the role of Assessment Team Leader to Principal Social Worker in 2020. Orlaith is responsible for managing a team of social workers who are responsible for assessing and training prospective foster carers. Orlaith graduated with a Masters in Social Work from University College of Dublin in 2008. Prior to joining Orchard Fostering Orlaith worked in the fields of child protection, aftercare and disability social work.
Team Leader Support Services
Orla joined Orchard Fostering in 2014 as a social worker and was promoted to the role of Team Leader for Support Services in 2017 and is responsible for managing a team of link workers who provide support to the foster carers in the service. Orla graduated from UCD in 2013 with a Masters in Social Work and prior to joining Orchard Fostering worked in the fostering service in Tusla.
Team Leader Support Service
Ciara joined Orchard Fostering in 2018 as a social worker and was promoted to the role of Team Leader for Support Services in 2019 and is responsible for managing a team of link workers who provide support to the foster carers in the service. Ciara graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2013 with a Professional Bachelor Degree in Social Work. Prior to joining Orchard, Ciara worked as a Social Worker in Tusla in Children in Care and Duty/Child Protection
Team Leader Social Care
Sabrina joined Orchard Fostering in 2012 as a social care worker and was promoted to the role of Team Leader in 2016. Sabrina leads a team of social care professionals who provide direct support and therapy to foster children and foster families. Sabrina graduated with a BA in Social Care from DIT in 2010 and is also a qualified play therapist. Prior to joining Orchard Fostering Sabrina worked in the children’s residential sector.
Quality Assurance Manager
Fiona joined Orchard Fostering in 2015 as a social care worker and was promoted to the role of Quality Assurance and Training Manager in 2019. Fiona is responsible for ensuring the company is compliant with HIQA’s national standards for foster care in order to achieve the best outcomes for children and their carers. Fiona graduated from Institute of Technology, Carlow in 2014 with a BA Honours degree in Social Studies. Prior to joining Orchard Fostering, Fiona worked in the residential sector.
Kathryn joined Orchard Fostering in 2019 as the Managing Director of the service. Kathryn has over 25 years experience in the healthcare sector including her role as Chief Operations Officer of the Mater Private Healthcare Group. Kathryn has an MBA from the Smurfit Business School and serves as a non executive director for Pieta House.
