Orchard Care Group Impact Report

We’re proud to share our 2025 Impact Report, celebrating a year of growth, connection and meaningful impact across Orchard Fostering.

Throughout 2025, we continued to strengthen our community of foster carers and enhance the support available to children and young people in our care. From developing our therapeutic, social care and education supports to creating opportunities for foster families to connect, learn and grow together, every aspect of our work is centred around helping children feel safe, supported and heard.

At the heart of Orchard Fostering are the dedicated foster carers, young people and staff who make a lasting difference every day. Together, we continue to build brighter futures and create homes where children and young people can feel a true sense of belonging.

2025 HIQA Inspection

We are delighted to share the findings of our most recent HIQA inspection (November 2025) where Orchard Fostering was found to be fully compliant. The report highlights the high quality of care provided by Orchard Fostering and our strong commitment to delivering a safe, child-centred service where children’s rights and wellbeing are promoted at every level.

Inspectors met with foster carers, children and young people, staff and external social workers, who spoke positively about the levels of support, communication and safeguarding across the service. The report also praised key initiatives including the Young Orchard Voice, foster carer supports, birth children supports and the training available to carers.

This positive feedback reflects the dedication of our foster carers, young people and staff team, and we remain committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for all children and young people in our care.

2025 Tusla Report

In June 2025, we welcomed TUSLA for a two day inspection and are proud to share the following report from TUSLA. This report highlighted the excellent work being done by all of the Orchard Fostering team.

Overall, monitors were assured that the agency was operating in line with Standard 16 of the National Standards for Foster Care, 2013 and were providing a wide range of training to their carers aligned to identified needs, relevant policies, regulations and best practice.

2024 Impact Report

We’re proud to share our 2024 Impact Report which shines a light on the achievements and the extraordinary efforts of our carers, staff, and young people.

Orchard Fostering had an incredibly impactful year in 2024, filled with achievements that reflect both the strength of the community and the depth of care provided. Orchard Fostering is one of Ireland’s leading independent fostering agency, proudly supporting foster families across the country. With a dedicated education service, 24/7 support, and a passionate team, we match children with homes that help them grow and thrive. In 2024, we welcomed new foster families, launched education workshops, and continued to make meaningful matches that last. Because every child deserves not just a place to stay, but a place to belong.

2023 TUSLA Report

In November 2023, TUSLA carried out a three-day inspection and we are pleased to share the final report. Monitors found, in relation to the standard audited against, the service was well managed and operated under clear governance arrangements.

It was child centred and promoted best outcomes for the young people in its care. Comprehensive policies, procedures and oversight structures were in place to support foster carers and ensure the delivery of safe and effective services for children placed on behalf of Tusla.

2023 Impact Report

We are proud to be able to share our 2023 Impact Report which highlights the high levels of wrap around care and supports we offer through our fostering, disability, and mainstream residential services, outlining how we continue to build brighter futures. In this report we showcase the high levels of commitment from our services, staff teams and families in ensuring high quality and inclusive care is provided to every individual we support.

2023 HIQA Inspection

We are delighted to share the outcome of their 2023 HIQA inspection. The report highlights the quality of care and child centred approach of our service and how children’s rights are promoted at every level of the service. The report praised the supports in place across Orchard Fostering, naming the children’s ambassador board, the birth children support groups, foster carer support groups and training available.

The inspectors met with foster carers, young people and external social workers who spoke about the high levels of support, communication and care provided. This is a testament to all of our amazing foster carers, young people and staff team and Orchard Fostering will continue to ensure that the best possible outcomes are provided to all of our children and young people.
